It appears that the shooter has been identified. The suspect they are looking for is a habitual violent offender recently released on bond following being arrested for sexual assault on a minor and battery on a police officer.

Hopefully, the killer will be brought to justice, or justice will be swiftly brought to him. And by swiftly, I’m thinking somewhere in the vicinity of 3,200 feet per second….

This turned into a non-incident. The refueling boom would not retract and so when the plane came into land, the boom dragged (causing the damage) and starting a small fire (sparks due to the boom being dragged).

Ares has a picture of the plane sitting intact (on the main gear) on the runway.
